How does MAD provide support in the community?

We believe that freedom of mobility is something to be experienced by all disabled persons and our members are encouraged to work in their local communities to bring this to life. This includes working closely with other disabled charities and groups in Scotland and by working together – the motorcycle enthusiasts of Scotland will help to make other’s dreams a reality.

For example on 27 September 2009, local MAD members in Falkirk helped raise money for the Seagull Trust– a charity, which enables disabled people to experience canal boat rides free of charge.

Support for fundraising initiatives is available from the MAD Scotland management committee to members. Similarly disabled charities and organisations looking for help - we will advertise this through our regular member’s newsletter - contact us for further information.
