I want to be MAD - how do I join?

There are six types of membership available with fees (with the exception of founder and charity group member types) these are payable annually.

Download and print the relevant application form (available below). Send this along with a cheque or postal order made out to MAD Scotland to the following address:

Communication with members
Members can keep up to date with all activities through our website; however we will also send you a regular newsletter by email. Members, who do not have access to the internet, will be able to opt to receive a postal copy of the newsletter. Clubs and groups will be asked to appoint one contact person to receive communications and act as a liaison.

We are currently looking at providing our newsletter via audio/podcast as well as email – more on this to follow.

Membership type

Founder member  - (individual members only and limited to 100):

·         £50 registration

·         Free lifetime membership

·         Included with initial membership pack: MAD Scotland patch with additional founder member bar patch

·         Subsequent year bars are available at an annual cost of £2.00.

Individual member:

·         £10 registration

·         £5 annual renewal

·         Included with registration: one MAD Scotland patch

·         On renewal of annual membership members will receive a year bar

Family member (Up to two adults and unlimited children/dependants living in the same household):

·         £15 registration

·         £7.50 annual renewal

·         Included with registration: two MAD Scotland patches, additional patches can be purchased at a cost of £3.50 each

·         On renewal of annual membership members will receive two year bars – additional bars can be purchased at a cost of £2.00 each.

Club group member:

·         £50 registration

·         Free lifetime membership

·         Included with registration: five MAD Scotland patches, additional patches can be purchased at a cost of £3.50 each, certificate of membership (updated each year)

·         Year bars can be purchased annually at a cost of £2 and club group members will receive an updated certificate each year.

Charity group member: Free membership

·         No registration fee

·         Free lifetime membership

·         Included with registration: a certificate of membership. Patches can be purchased at a cost of £3.50 each and window display stickers can be purchased at a cost of £5.00 each

·         Year bars can be purchased annually at a cost of £2 and charity group members will receive an updated certificate each year.

Business group member:

·         £100 registration

·         Free lifetime membership

·         Included with registration: Up to ten MAD Scotland patches, window display sticker and a certificate of membership. Additional patches can be purchased at a cost of £3.50 each and window display stickers can be purchased at a cost of £5.00 each

·         Year bars can be purchased annually at a cost of £2.00 and business group members will receive an updated certificate of membership each year.
